BRIAR OIL AND GAS

We are a Delaware LLC that owns and operates 264 dry gas wells in the Arkoma Basin, SE Oklahoma.

Today we produce 5400Mcf/d from our 264 wells; a 50% production increase due to cost/benefit optimization.

Briar is “in the market” to acquire additional Arkoma and neighboring contiguous production assets using Briar’s in-field oversight, engineering, engineering analysis and local knowledge to pay market driven prices.

LEADERSHIP

Jonathan Avery

Has 30 years of experience in upstream oil & gas production, operations and finance.

Prior to Briar, Mr. Avery operated oil production in West Texas and Western Kansas. He holds an AB from Harvard University in Geo-Chemistry and an MBA in finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

Ian Malo

Has been Director of Oleum Energy a Mexican oil company.

Prior to Oleum, Mr. Malo was Energy Under-Secretary of Mexico, and also has had several directive positions at PEMEX, where he was Vice President of Pemex Gas. Mr. Malo, holds a bachelor degree in Business Management and one in Law and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid).

Brandon Short

Has had 15years of experience in the Gas and Oil industry.

Prior to Briar Oil and Gas Mr. Short started his career in the industry working for Hanover Compression where he was a Mechanic for 3years . Then he was approached by BP America Production company to work for the Arkoma Asset where he had severed in several different fields including compression, planning and scheduling as well as Team Lead over production in the Woodford shale. He worked for BP American for 10years before joining Briar Oil and Gas.

Randall Howell

Has 30 years + experience in oil & gas, production, operations and management.

Prior to Briar, Mr. Howell spent the last 15 years with Unit Petroleum/BP, in completions, construction, pipeline, measurement, communications, operations and management.

Prior to Unit Corporation, he worked with Wolford and Jenkins Gas Consultants as a production tech.

Edward Klumpp

Has 38 years of experience in both Offshore and Onshore Oil and Gas production, measurement, and operations.

Prior to Briar, Mr. Klumpp began his career offshore in the Gulf of Mexico with ARCO/Vastar Resources as a Production Supervisor.  After the merger with BP America, he held various positions onshore – HSE trainer / Measurement Assurance Specialist in LA & TX, Measurement Team Lead in OK (1347 wells) and Lead Measurement Analyst in Houston TX.
